HealthMirror is a personal-use utility that lets you export your own Apple Health data from your iPhone to your own iCloud Drive — as user-visible files in your own Apple Account — so that local tools running on your own Mac can read it. The developer does not receive, access, or store your HealthKit data on any developer-operated system, and the app has no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs.
Important things to know before you install:
- Uninstalling the app does NOT delete data already synced to your iCloud Drive. You must delete those files separately via the Files app if you want them removed.
- Menstrual cycle data is OFF by default. It will only be requested or synced if you explicitly enable it in the app’s Settings.
- If you choose to connect a third-party AI tool (such as a chat client) to your local data, that tool will process the queries and responses according to its own privacy policy, not this one.
HealthMirror is developed by Xiao Zhang, an independent developer publishing as mlyxz on GitHub. The app is offered free of charge and has no commercial interest in your data.

The app does not write any data back to HealthKit. It is a read-only consumer of HealthKit.
HealthMirror performs a user-directed export of your HealthKit data into user-visible files inside an iCloud Drive container in your own Apple Account. The container is named iCloud.com.mlyz.HealthBridge (an internal identifier — container IDs are permanent once created, and this one keeps the app’s original development name, “Health Bridge”). It is not developer-controlled CloudKit storage, and there is no developer-operated server involved.

The files in the iCloud Drive container are user-visible: you can view, inspect, or delete them at any time using the iOS Files app or macOS Finder.
You can independently verify this by inspecting outbound network traffic on your iPhone (for example, using a tool such as Little Snitch on a paired Mac, or via iOS Settings → Cellular / Wi-Fi data counters).
HealthMirror declares “Data Not Collected” in its App Store privacy nutrition label. Under Apple’s definition, “collect” means data that the developer or a third-party partner can access for normal app use. The iCloud Drive sync described above is a system service that happens between you and Apple within your own Apple Account — the developer is not a recipient of that data, and the data is not collected within the meaning of the App Store privacy label.
This applies to the app’s normal operation. A user-initiated support email is a separate, user-controlled communication channel — see “If You Contact Support” below for the disclosure that applies to that channel.
HealthMirror by itself only exports your data into your iCloud Drive. It does not send any data to AI services.
You may separately, and at your own choice, install a local MCP server on your Mac to read these exported files, and connect that MCP server to a third-party AI tool such as a chat client. If you do:

Menstrual cycle is a sensitive HealthKit data category. HealthMirror handles it differently from other health data:

The developer holds no copies of your data, no backups, and no access. There is nothing the developer could delete on your behalf, because there is nothing on a developer-operated system to delete. Your data stays in your iCloud Drive for as long as you choose to keep it.
HealthMirror is not directed at children under the age of 13, or the applicable minimum age in your region (whichever is higher). Its App Store age rating is set by Apple’s content classification system based on the app’s content; that rating is a content classification, not an age-verification mechanism.
The iCloud Drive container used by HealthMirror lives in your own Apple Account. Apple’s handling of iCloud data — including transport, storage, replication, and the strength of encryption at rest — is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy and Apple’s iCloud settings on your devices, not by this Privacy Policy.
In particular, whether your iCloud Drive contents are end-to-end encrypted depends on your own iCloud settings, including whether you have enabled Apple’s Advanced Data Protection for iCloud. HealthMirror cannot turn this on or off for you.
The HealthMirror developer has no visibility into your Apple Account or your iCloud contents.
If you email support@mlyz.me, the developer will receive the email address you sent from and the contents of your message, and will use them only to respond to your inquiry. Please do not paste any HealthKit data, health records, or other sensitive personal information into support emails unless you affirmatively wish to share them with the developer for the purpose of resolving your question.
Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and follow up on your inquiry. You may request deletion of your support correspondence at any time by emailing support@mlyz.me.
If this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same URL, and the “Effective Date” at the top of this page will be updated. Where appropriate, material changes will also be referenced in the App Store release notes for the next app update.
